Dr. Aviva Lerman is a senior lecturer in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders and a qualified speech and language therapist with over 20 years of clinical and research experience. She holds a BA and MA in Communication disorders from Hadassah Academic College, Jerusalem, and completed her PhD. in Prof. Loraine Obler’s neurolinguistics lab at the Graduate Center, CUNY, in New York. Her fields of expertise include post-stroke aphasia, dementia, healthy aging, multilingualism, and neurolinguistics. Dr. Lerman has worked on the rehabilitation ward in Hadassah Mount Scopus Medical Center, Jerusalem, since 2006, and currently runs the Aphasia and Aging lab at Haifa University.
